Each year since 1988, golf course superintendents, sports turf managers, parks and recreation managers, and other turf specialists come to the University of Florida - Fort Lauderdale for a day of education, fellowship, and good barbecue.  Events include field tours of current research, and specialized training for Golf Course Superintendents, Turf Mechanics, and Turfgrass Irrigation Specialists.  This is a chance to see the latest developments in equipment and products to care for healthy turf.  Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are awarded for attendance in selected areas such as Pesticide Application, and GCSAA Certification.  Following the construction of the green, we also call this the Otto Schmeisser Research Green Exposition.
